Working with the Inclusiveness Preparedness Center, a national, online training and exercise guide was developed for teams of administrators and staff of organizations that provide services to people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations. The online guide enabled them to accurately assess their current organizational state of disaster readiness and the readiness of those they serve to be self-reliant in a disaster. The guide detailed how organization staff and clients can work together to improve readiness including how to shelter-in-place or evacuate to a safer location and find appropriate shelter.
