As a key subcontractor for this project, the SEDC team conducted familiarization meetings with key Washington, D.C. government agencies that were designated to have a vital role in the response phase of an emergency. These agencies included the D.C. Departments of Public Works, Transportation, Human Services, Health, Energy and Environment, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
SEDC met with key stakeholders at these agencies to gather their input on the revised District Response Plan, Hurricane Specific Annex, and checklist. We also assisted with the development of the familiarization PowerPoint and Situation Manual, with several of our team members serving as evaluators for the Tabletop exercise. For the functional exercise, SEDC assisted with the development of scenario and exercise documents, supported the conduct of the exercise as controllers in the Simulation Cell, and provided input for the Quicklook Report.
